Henderson Sport & Social Is Open. Tournaments Get the Weekends, So When Do Anthem Locals Get It?

  • October 29, 2026

Who is a $70 million fieldhouse at the corner of St. Rose and Maryland Parkways actually built for? The general manager answered before the doors opened. In September, Jeff Swanlund told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Henderson Sport & Social had "sold out all of our weekends for tournaments" for 2026, and that "our weekdays, we're going to run local leagues." That one sentence explains how the building works. Saturdays and Sundays belong to tournaments through the end of the year. For anyone in Anthem Highlands, Anthem Hills, Sun City Anthem or Anthem Country Club, it's mainly a Monday-through-Thursday place, and most of what's inside requires no membership.

The building held its grand opening October 16 and 17 at 3375 St. Rose Parkway in the 89052 ZIP code, the same ZIP as Anthem. The City of Henderson calls it the community's first fieldhouse.

Why the weekends were spoken for in advance

The building's funding explains its calendar. According to the Review-Journal, the city put $60 million into the project and the operator, KemperSports, put in $10 million. The city says its share came from one-time sources, including a public infrastructure bond sale, the West Henderson Development Fund and the City Municipal Facilities Fund. It projects $1.5 million in annual tax revenue and $39.1 million in total yearly economic output.

Swanlund told the paper that the entertainment side is what makes the numbers work. "A traditional recreation center funded by the city costs taxpayers money every year," he said, adding that the fitness gym, arcade, bowling, mini golf, laser tag and full-service restaurant let the facility become "a money-generating endeavor for the city because it's a profit share with Kemper Sports and the city of Henderson."

Tournaments bring the out-of-town visitors that make that profit share possible. The first one showed the scale. Henderson Sport & Social's own announcement said the Border League event in early October would bring about 300 boys' and girls' teams from 27 states and four countries to Henderson. The Review-Journal reported that the event would air on ESPN and that Coronado High School basketball coach Jeff Kaufman helped bring it to Henderson. Weekend tournament dates stay booked through December.

The ground floor runs on single tickets

The operator says you don't need a membership to visit the Social House, book an experience or sign up for sports. Only the fitness center requires one.

On the sports side, the Review-Journal describes four full-size basketball courts that convert to eight volleyball courts and two hybrid turf fields for soccer and flag football. The 30,000-square-foot entertainment area has 20 bowling lanes, a darts attraction, an arcade and outdoor mini golf. The operator lists 60 games and 100 player stations in the 6,000-square-foot arcade, plus a two-level laser tag arena recommended for ages 5 and up.

The posted prices show the weekday pattern. Every attraction with a weekend rate costs more Friday through Sunday:

Attraction Monday–Thursday Friday–Sunday & holidays
Bowling, per lane per hour, up to six people $45 $55
VIP bowling, per lane per hour, up to six people $55 $75
Mini golf, 18 holes, per person $12 $15
Krazy Darts, per bay, up to eight people $55 $65
Laser tag, per person $10 for one game, $17 for two, $25 for three Same

Bowling shoes rent for $5. On a weekday, a family of four plays 18 holes of mini golf for $48. The same round costs $60 on a Saturday.

The restaurant and bar menu is built around sharing. It includes a Korean street market board at $39, a Mediterranean market board at $32, a game day board at $41, loaded legend nachos at $38, brisket loaded fries at $21 and Korean Bulgogi Kimchi Fries at $19. The kitchen cooks from scratch, and the bar pours local craft beer, cocktails and wine. According to the Review-Journal, the building also has event rooms for groups of 25 to 75.

The 20% Henderson discount, and where it applies

The city says Henderson residents get 20% off recreational programming and activities, a perk it built into the public-private deal. The operator's membership page lists the "Henderson Local" discount at 20% and says you must show a valid ID on your first visit to get any discount. Bring a driver's license the first time, and confirm at the desk how the discount applies to the attraction you're booking.

What a membership actually adds

Memberships are mostly about the upstairs gym. The posted tiers are:

  • Fitness, $60 a month: fitness center, group fitness classes, locker rooms and showers.
  • Family, $175 a month: the same access for up to four people.
  • Social, $155 a month: the Fitness membership plus access to bowling, laser tag, mini golf and Krazy Darts, monthly arcade promotions and other perks.

The Social tier costs $95 a month more than Fitness. At weekday rates, that's about two bowling lanes plus one mini golf round for a single player. It makes sense only if the attractions become a weekly habit. Most memberships also carry a $50 annual activation fee. Seniors 60 and over get $15 off, and military members and first responders get $10 off. Members also get 10% off parties, food and drink, attractions other than the arcade, and league and tournament registration. Open play for basketball, soccer, volleyball and pickleball is included, but the operator notes limited availability. Personal training costs $75 a session, and small-group training is $35 a person.

The gym is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week, and the building is open every day of the year except Christmas Day. Child Watch runs from 6 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 8 p.m. on weekdays, and from 8 a.m. to noon on weekends. Those hours suit early workouts before work and sessions after school, and they cover weekend mornings only.

Leagues fill the weekday courts

The weekday leagues Swanlund described are already running. The adult fall season goes from October 26 to December 18, and registration closed October 16. The fall standard rates give a baseline for next season:

  1. Volleyball: $975 per team or $110 per player, with men's, women's and co-ed divisions at beginner and competitive levels.
  2. Indoor soccer: $1,025 per team or $159 per player, with co-ed open, men's open, women's open and co-ed 35+ divisions.
  3. Basketball: $925 per team or $139 per player, with men's competitive, recreation and 35+ divisions.

The operator also runs youth and adult basketball, indoor soccer, flag football, volleyball and bowling, along with introductory programs. It says fees vary by league and season. Groups can rent the courts for pickleball, dodgeball, cornhole and futsal, and the turf fields for lacrosse and flag football. The site doesn't post drop-in court times or rates, so check the open play schedule before heading over with a ball.

December's other weeknight plans

With tournaments booked on weekends through the end of the year, the city's free holiday events land on weeknights too. Henderson's WinterFest schedule lists a tree lighting and drone show at Water Street Plaza on Thursday, December 3, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The Electric Light Parade follows on Water Street on Friday, December 4, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The city says the parade route, street closures and full schedule are still to come, and that events may change. On those two nights, you can see the lights downtown, then have a weekday-rate bowling lane on St. Rose Parkway the following Monday.
